The person that helps me, PLEASE EXPLAIN IN MAJOR Verify that the source exists and that you can access it. Things mainly, when I tried to create a shortcut and open it, I would be told: The installation source for this product is notĪvailable. The Panel shows 8.1.5 and in programs it shows as just 8. I noticed my shortcut had disappeared but, was still All USB devices today are the 2.0 version.īecause of trying to fix other problems, I managed to mess up this. Even if it does it will be soooooooo very slow. Now comes another concern I am just guessing at this point but I suspect your USB is a 1.0 version and unless you purchase an external hdd that is "backward compatible" it may not work in your computer. Once I received your burner model number I was able to find out why it would not burn a DVD+R. You said you needed to go the least expensive route and that is DVD's for now. LH did recommend you get an external hdd because in todays world that is about the least expensive and most versitale storage device on the market. I said a different hdd partition, external hdd, hdd or DVD's.

We then started posting what is the best place to store your backup. Then we recommended you start to backup your system so if you ever had a problem you could recover. Then you started talking about getting a refund for products you purchased. This took a lot of back & forth communications.

When finished click on apply and restart your computer.ĭo you know anyone that knows how to edit the registry?ĭo you have an old backup image you can reload that would possibly have Adobe Acrobat on it? go to start tab and look for anything with Adobe in it and uncheck the box. If so open its folder and see if there are any files in the folder.Ģ) from the start run box type cmd >enter. When you find the folder expand it so you can see all applications. I could be wrong.ġ)open windows explorer to program files and look for anything with the name "Adobe". From your reply above it appears that the Adobe Acrobat might have been installed on a network server and someone installed a link to the application.

I do not know about the other 2 as I don't need them but you might have something that requires them. The Adobe applications you listed I suggest you keep are Adobe Reader 9.3.1, Adobe flash player.

My original reply post was a link to Adobe where you might be able to download your program. For the most part the "Geeks" were just trying to get information from you so as to assist in resolving your problem. I do suggest you make a backup image of your system so if something like this ever happens again you just pop in the image disks and in 15-20 minutes you are back in business.

At the end of the day you might decide to do a clean install or live with what you have. I don't know how much damage it has or will do to your system as you try removing some of these programs. Then you still have the issue with all the A/V & malware, spyware you have installed on your system. V9.0 is their newest version and you might not be able to find v8. You would have to install v8 first then get the updates to v8.1.5. This means if you install v8.1.5 and had your original licence key it might not accept that key. I think your original install & licence key was for v8 and Adobe gave a couple of free updates to v8.1.5. From your first post you said the program showed v8 but then in control panel it showed v8.1.5. You might be able to install v8.1.5 but unless you have the licence key I don't think you will have much success.
